Item Description
A pair of original Willy Guhl for Eternit 'Diablo' planters, Switzerland, C1970, with a historical terracotta-painted surface. Swiss designer Willy Guhl created a series of sculptural yet highly functional outdoor forms for Eternit during the post-war period. His designs are now considered icons of mid-century Swiss modernism, valued for their simple architectural lines and enduring practicality.
These ‘Diablo’ planters have a graphic shape with a beautifully weathered surface that develops character over time. Produced in Eternit’s fibre cement composite, the material was designed specifically for outdoor use and should not be altered, cut or sanded.
For outdoor use only.
Dated 1971 and 1974
