Item Description
p026 An exceptional English Edwardian brass planter or coal bin, dating from circa 1900. This elegant hearth piece features a secure lift-up lid that opens to reveal original internal liner. The exterior is beautifully embellished with an intricate, raised decorative band, flanked by robust, classic carrying handles, and elevated by four stylised decorative feet. While originally designed for fireside coal storage, the excellent condition and classic proportions of this coal bucket make it a highly versatile decorative object—perfectly suited for use as a indoor planter or jardinière to showcase botanical arrangements.
The piece has been cleaned and polished to highlight the rich, warm brass colour. It is offered in good condition and is entirely ready to place at home. No cracks or breaks. c1900
