Item Description

1830's Louis Philippe era writing desk, or secretaire from Burgundy, France.

With a width long cushion drawer to the underside of the top (of which the lock has been removed) and a large drop-down writing slope and 3 sets of drawers to the lower half.

There are 2 keys for all the other sections which have working locks. Internally the writing slope has been covered with green leather which is in great condition and the slope itself once down is remarkably sturdy.

There are a bank of small drawers and an open storage area complete with a shelf. There is some old ink staining in this area (see photos).

We have treated the historic worm for peace of mind.

This is the ultimate modern day home office.
