Item Description

Rare form of Early 20th Century Artists Lay figure
A tad battered and bruised due to years of use, this rare form of a fully articulated artist’s lay figure still has bags of character and charm more artistic than functional now. He seems to have lost a section of his face as he must have had too much to say? He is fully articulated however doesn’t stand alone due to loss joints. This form of lay figure is rare to come by and he would have been priced at four figures if complete and undamaged. His body is made from sections of jointed pine and his face is some form of gutta percha material we assume.
Dimensions in inches: H 15” x W 4” x D 3”
Age: Early 20th Century
Origin: Unknown
Condition: Damaged
With loose joints this figure doesn’t stand alone, missing his left knee cap (both legs bend), one foot is articulated the other is firmly in place, his hip sections are worn and show cracks but both legs are in place if a tad fragile. Left arm missing and obvious loss to the face section as shown. This is an old, original well used untouched item so please expect this to be reflected in the condition.
We strongly suggest reviewing all the photos provided as part of this advert and propose questions where sections are unclear to avoid disappointment upon purchase. A direct message usually takes 24 hours to answer. For multiple years we have sold antique items globally, please expect our items to show relevant age and natural wear, Items only restored due to breaks and major loss, and we always stipulate this in our condition report.
