Early 20th century carnival / fairground game panel

Dimensions in inches: H 29” x W 21” x D 4”

Overview
A highly decorative example of an early 20th century English fairground / carnival shooting target. Hand painted detail on sectioned pine board with rear support in place. Some old nails in place that would have held a cotton sack where small wooden balls would have been thrown into. This example would have been accompanied by numerous other boards as part of a large fairground amusement game. Completely untouched in form and in original condition as shown.

• Scratches across its surface
• Rusty old nails are present
• A loss of wood under the mouth as shown (doesn’t affect the stability)
• Solid in form
• Loss of painted surface
