Overview
We sometimes create amazing things for the love of them, these two hand carved figures are just brilliant in our humble opinion. Seated with handcrafted detail, both in fixed seated position, we have been informed by the collector we uncovered them from that they sat outside a grocery store in the summer on a bench in Amsterdam for several years to attract customers and create an element of fun on the high-street for the shoppers passing by. The man is wearing a painted straw hat, smoking a pipe, wearing an old watch and clog shoes. The female has a woven straw hat, glass eyes, plastic necklace, old rings on her fingers and is overlayed with papier mache (both figures are heavy painted with a sheen paint that protects them from the elements. The male weighs roughly 12kg and the female about 8kg.

• Natural cracked wood in areas as shown
• The man has a line of red dripped paint to his right leg
• These objects are solid and firm in form without movement.
