Item Description
This is a truly fabulous and extremely rare German Baroque horse that dates from the late 18th century. Discovered recently this magnificent antique statue of a black horse is hand carved from wood and painted. The horse is adorned by a colourful saddle with tassels and it measures about 36 x 34 x 11 cm or approximately 14.1 x 13.3 x 4.3 inches. What makes it even more amazing today in my opinion is its stunning timeworn patina that brings so much unique appeal and splendour today. It is exactly as I discovered it. In my listings I have another horse that was discovered in the same place in Germany. That one is white and both make a great pair if needed for a symetrical display as shown on the last two images.
