Item Description
This is a fabulous pair of antique pharmaceutical or apothecary jars that were discovered recently in Antwerp, Belgium. Dating from the 19th century these highly decorative treasures are created masterfully from porcelain with hand painted details in blue. Their artistic quality is truly magnificent. Each jar has two side handles in the shape of lions' heads and a gorgeous metal lid. Once they were containers for dried tobacco. Considering their age the jars are in great antique condition and exactly as I discovered them. Each one measures about 31 x 23 x 18 cm or approximately 12.2 x 9 x 7 inches. For the full condition please refer to the images!
PS. In my shop I also have a larger jar [as shown in the last images of this listing] if needed for a bigger display!
