Item Description
An 18th century French gilded wall hanging plaque, dating back to around 1750. This ornately shaped panel would have originally formed part of a panelled interior and has been adapted into a wall hanging decoration.
The hand carved scrolling foliage has a stunning gilded finish. The oak front has been mounted onto a soft wood and is ready to hang or rest upon a mantel as a subtle centrepiece.
CONDITION REPORT
Good structural condition. Oak front. Historic splits and paint loss. Historic repairs. Later backed onto soft wood.
