A large Georgian style hourglass cast iron hob grate by Scottish makers the Carron Iron Company.
Finished in black graphite polish, this antique hob grate is intricately cast, featuring the Prince of Wales crest to its front, floral embellishments throughout, with shaped bars and fluted design to its front. The perfect grate for a fireplace of the same era.
