An early 19th century bronze Grand Tour model of a Roman sarcophagus or bath, circa 1830, with removable blue glass liner. Once a Grand Tour souvenir acquired by an adventurer travelling across Europe, this small decorative model details a typical ancient Roman sarcophagus in great detail, with four lion paw feet and a pair of lion head masks to each side.

Steeped in history, this Grand Tour collectible is a stylish piece of decoration for a desk, shelf or tabletop, adding a small piece of history to your home.

CONDITION REPORT

Excellent condition. Small chip to bronze on one side of rim. Removable blue glass liner (see photos). Wear consistent with age and use.
