A large natural blacknite quartz cluster specimen with covelline and bornite from Ambositra, Madagascar.
Blacknite is a beautiful mineral of the goethite/hematite variety, displaying a natural iridescence of colours across the crystals including pink, purple, black, yellow and blue. Blacknite specimens like this one with beautiful crystal clusters in superb iridescent colours can only be found in the Ambositra mine, Madagascar and another specific mine in South Africa.
This exceptional mineral has a striking lustre and overlapping shapes that have been developed by nature over thousands of years making it an impressive sculptural piece for an interior display or collectors cabinet.

Comes with two exclusive medium custom-made painted plaster display plinth – ø17cm x height 6.5cm.
