Any piece of art, or furniture, that is signed is more desireable then one that is not simply because it allows attribution to an artist or maker. It also tells us more about the sculpture, painting or carving. It might help us to date the piece and understand in what context it was created and sometimes, for what purpose.
Attributed items are those which are not signed, or indistinctly signed, but which the Dealer believes the item to be by a particular artist, maker or School. This can, if it is accepted, increase the value of the piece and make it more desirable.
Tip: If the description of an item states it has a signature or is attributed, ask the Dealer to confirm this on your invoice fo both insurance and future reference.
CAN'T FIND WHAT YOUR LOOKING FOR:
1) If you are on an Item page, and the item is very similar to what you are looking for, or has sold, you can click on the SIMILAR ITEM? tab, above the text description, and a form will pop up allowing you to contact all the Dealers on the site and letting them know what you are looking for - it will also attach the first 3 pictures from that page.
2) If you would like to add your own jpeg pictures, you can go to our LEAVE A STOCK REQUEST page to ask our Dealers if they have what you need.
