Large late 19th Century French beautiful repoussé brass cushion mirror.
With bevelled glass plate and an elaborate pediment crest. The crest is decorated with a central scallop shell issuing scrolling acanthus foliage and a floral cartouche, flanked by symmetrical rocaille ornament against a contrasting black background. The stepped cushion frame is richly worked with foliate borders and scrolling corner mounts in deep repoussé brass.
A striking architectural mirror that would sit beautifully above a console or fireplace.
