Decorative Italian Café Table with Chessboard set into the mosaic marble or scagliola table top which sits on a green wrought iron base with casters.
The marble mosaic pieces are set into a slab of circular cement, and the heavy top sits on the wrought iron base with fancy metalwork, which can slide for adjustment rather than having a permanent fixing. In very good condition with some wear from long usage. The wrought iron base is on casters indicating the table was probably made to be moveable , probably for use in a café.
Measures 34" diameter x 31" high ( 87 x 79 cms). Made in Italy c.1900-1930
