Item Description
Large Oil Painting of a Young French Girl holding a Rose and standing with her arm on a table. She wears a white dress typical of the period and leather lace-up boots. The painting is unsigned. When I bought it it was unframed and so I have had a frame custom made for the painting. The back of the painting shows a number of old patch repairs to the canvas. Circa 1880-1900 From France. Measures 60 inches high x 40 wide
Although in good basic condition the painting now has two small holes in the canvas which were recently made by a young child and therefore needs restoration. (One hole in the lower skirt of the white dress, the other on the piece of drawer furniture beneath the girls right hand.)
