A run of four pressed opaline glass shades by GEC. c.1920
A beautiful run of four early 20th‑century pressed opaline glass pendant shades, originally installed in a church and made by GEC. Each shade is formed in thick, gently ribbed opaline glass that gives a soft, diffused glow when lit. The proportions are simple and architectural, with the glass showing the subtle variations and depth typical of GEC’s period production. All four retain their original brass galleries with honest age and a warm, time‑earned surface. Each shade has some chipping to the inside rim (not seen once gallery is fitted), one more than the rest. Price is per light.
