A beautifully painted French still life, oil on board, in it's original gilded frame. This charming and skilled painting depicts a blue and white Chinese Tureen from 'Hamog' with lemons.
Signed and dated Dr Jules Jaeger, 1916;
The writing on the back translates as:-
"Porcelaine Tureen From Hamog,
Strasbourg, Circa 1750.
Study By Dr Jules Jaeger
Favourite Pupil of Lothaire De Seebach
who was the Principal
and himself a Student of Manet"
