Golden Oak Air Ministry Desk Armchair C1930
Great design and crafted in golden oak, we have a rather good looking 1930s chair with the AM stamp underneath, these are never easy to find in golden oak. We are liking this one a great deal… the craft is first class and grain wonderful, however no maker's mark but we are definitely leaning towards Gordon Russell.
The chair is perfect as an occasional chair or perhaps as a desk chair or maybe for a bedroom. If you would like it re-upholstered our upholsterer will charge £135 plus VAT and you would require approximately 1 metre of fabric or leather - which we are happy to assist in sourcing with samples etc. Otherwise the current woven cream coloured chenille fabric is servable and the seat is fine comfort wise.
A rather nice looking and dare we say beautiful Air Ministry, English oak armchair, our best for a while.
