Item Description
Faux bamboo was introduced to the west by the China trade in the18th century and became popular across Europe. The Chinese have been making faux bamboo furniture since the late Ming dynasty, 1368-1644.
Hard wood was turned and painted to simulate bamboo. A tradition that is still strong today.
As with all out footstools they can be made to any size and any leg colour and finish.
As with most of our footstools they can be made to any size you would like with any leg to suit your requirements. Most of our footstools are finished in either hessian or scrim, showing the hand stitching and finished with tacks. This gives the option of showing the craftsmanship and leaving as they are. Or alternatively a top cover can be added, and we are more than happy to help with the upholstery detailing.
