Item Description
Fine quality late 19th.c. French mahogany bank of drawers or 'Wellington chest' c.1880. Useful narrow dimensions, just 28" wide. With a lockable larger drawer over a bank of 11 slim drawers (internal dimensions 51cm x 31, height 7cm) which are all held closed with the hinged and lockable right hand pilaster. Beautifully figured flame mahogany veneers arranged in symmetrical pattern across the top, front and sides. Retaining the original gilded brass drawer knobs. Raised on a thumb moulded plinth. Oak groundwork to the drawer fronts, oak drawer linings and back panel. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied to work the top drawer and locking pilaster.
