Item Description
Superb quality Edwardian inlaid mahogany cylinder desk c.1905. Pierced brass gallery to the back and sides of the top over three small drawers and the cylinder beautifully inlaid with fine floral marquetry detail. Opening to reveal a fitted interior of pigeon holes over a slide out desk (height 28½") with a green leather skiver. Five larger drawers below the desk arranged around the central kneehole. Satinwood crossbanded drawer fronts with the original gilded brass handles. Raised on slim turned and fluted legs with the original castors. The crossbanding continues on the sides and the rear is plain but polished. Mahogany drawer linings. Wear to the surface of the flat top above the cylinder. Otherwise excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Keys supplied for all the drawers and the cylinder.
