Item Description
Splendid large majolica ware jardinière in stand by the French makers Sarreguemines (of the town with the same name in North East France) c.1880. 14" diameter jardinière (height 14") raised on the original column with 16" diameter base. Both modelled with acanthus form decoration, in a rich red majolica glaze with gilded detail. Pale blue interior to the jardinière bowl. Clear set of marks to the underside. Excellent condition.
