Item Description
Rare set of three matching stacking oak bookcases by The Globe Wernicke Co. c.1910. Standing 87" tall. Each stack with four shallow glazed bookcase sections (internal depth 9"), over two deeper sections (internal depth 12") one glazed, the other with a blind door. Each section with Wernicke’s patented lift and slide door mechanism. Shaped cornice and plinths, each featuring a useful drawer. Excellent quality with bevelled glass fronts, original brass knobs, solid oak sides and copperized metal bindings. Original Globe-Wernicke labels. Excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
