Item Description
Late 18th.c. Welsh oak cupboard dresser base c.1770. Two plank top with a groove along the back edge to form a plate stand, a moulded front edge and cleated ends. Over an unusual configuration of drawers featuring two slim 'knife' drawers in between the three drawers of more normal proportions, all with brass swan neck handles. With two cupboards below (internal depth 16½") with a central divider between. Rectangular raised and fielded panels set within a moulded frame to doors and the centre and repeated in larger form on the sides. Moulded trim around the base and shaped bracket feet to the front and sides. Pine back panels, also (quite unusually) raised and fielded. Some old marks and wear to the top, generally excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Keys supplied for both cupboards.
