Item Description
This is a simply stunning set of antique Arras garden furniture and the nicest Arras garden set we have found. Manufactured in Arras, Grassin-Baledans in the 1860’s with stunning elegance for such a sturdy set, the distinctive Arras look is uniquely made of half-round hollow wrought iron that characterises Arras pieces.
This set of two chairs and a petite bistro table has the earlier lions claw feet that were introduced by Grassin Baledans in 1860. The chairs are shown as Chaise No 1 with the accompanying bistro table No 2. This petite French Arras iron garden table and chairs are completely untouched, the table has layers of original paint of soft cream.
With its highly attractive patina and smooth table finish, this garden set would look stunning in the garden, patio, balcony or conservatory. Arras garden furniture were designed for durability and resilience, hand forged with beautifully riveted iron, a real collectors piece.
Both chairs and table retain their brass maker’s plate.
