Item Description
A classic piece of vernacular furniture, this 19th Century cricket table features wonderful small proportions, character, and authentic age-worn charm. Traditionally designed with a three-legged base to stand sturdy on uneven stone or flagstone floors, this piece has a deeply patinated circular top set over turned, painted legs. Faint traces of an earlier hand-painted floral motif quietly emerge from beneath the richly worn surface. Its compact footprint makes it ideal as a side table, lamp stand, or accent table beside an armchair or sofa.
Condition: The table includes a collar at the base of one leg, a lovely honest repair. Expected signs of age and wear throughout, including surface distressing, paint loss, scratches, and historic repairs, all consistent with regular use.
