Circa 1890. Pair of superb quality late Victorian marquetry inlaid satinwood coffee tables by Edwards and Roberts, Picadilly, London. The oval tops with mahogany boxwood and ebony banding and central satinwood panels with exquisite marquetry inlay of musical instruments, surrounded by husk chains and ribbon-bound foliate garlands. With chequered fore-edges over inlaid splayed feet with crinoline under-stretchers. Bearing label ‘Edwards and Roberts, Picadilly, London’.
