Item Description
Circa 1820. Brass-inlaid Regency rosewood games table. The rectangular top with rounded corners with brass inlay and satinwood banding surrounding a Brazilian rosewood centre and crossbanded foredges opening to an interior with rosewood crossbanding and a new green baize lining. The frieze with foliate brass inlay to the front and to the angled corners and supported on unusual quality carved pineapple-style pillars over dragooned brass collars on a quadripartite base with extensive ormolu mounts, over scrolled brass inlaid supports with brass castors. In excellent condition.
