Wonderfully vibrant and in excellent original condition, is this 1980s vintage Caterpillar brooch, stamped with KJL for American jewellery designer Kenneth Jay Lane (1932-2017).
This will stand out on your jacket lapel or dress beautifully and will definitely get noticed. I've worn this piece a couple of times, and it never fails to get a lot of complimentary comments.
I think it's the combination of the pretty turquoise and lapis coloured cabuchon's, against the emerald green and gold background. The ruby red eyes just complete the look of this good sized wearable insect and the quality of this adorable piece makes it look like a valuable wearable.
Approx 7.5cm long x 1.7cm wide x 1cm high and weighing 25.5 grams.
