Circa 1780-90 French indienne deeply scalloped pelmet from a manufacturer in Pont du la Maye, near Bordeaux.A wondrful block print designin madder red and a soft saffron yellow withlarge scale patterned stripes of stylised flowers and patterned branches The reverse a grainy 'greige' hemp.In an as found antique and unlaundered condition with some small spots of discolouration
