Item Description
An English open armchair dating from the early to mid-19th century, attributed to Miles and Edwards.
The tall shaped back has rounded shoulders above long padded open arms. The ring-turned front legs, swept rear legs and matching turned arm supports are decorated with faux rosewood graining—a painted finish imitating the colour and figure of rosewood. The chair is raised on castors.
Sturdy frame, with traditional upholstery in good condition. Offered for recovering in your choice of fabric. Some wear and rubbing to the grained finish. Fresh lining fabric has been added to the seat and arms, ready for the final covering of your choice.
