Item Description
An 18th Century Spanish Walnut Cupboard/Cabinet.
This cupboard/cabinet, of 18th century date, has something of a baroque look to it. The walnut has a lovely colour and it has good patination. The metalwork, particularly the large strap hinges, is excellent quality. It has a well-crafted panelling to front and sides. The sides use a simple repeating pattern of panels of uniform size but the front mixes horizontal and vertical rectangles, pairs and singles, making a sophisticated and interesting design. Inside the piece are three shelves, allowing for plenty of storage.
