18th Century French Ash Buffet Deux Corps
An 18th Century French Figured Ash Buffet Deux Corps with Exceptional Colour and Patination.
Constructed in solid ash, this was designed to stand in a dining room as a vertical sideboard. Of beautifully figured timber, it has two panelled cupboard doors to the top, containing a single adjustable shelf, drawers to the centre section and smaller cupboards to the base. There are applied carved details to the apron and it stands on cabriole legs. The drawers have drop handles and the cupboards have metalwork escutcheons and hinges, all original to the piece.
A lovely piece of storage furniture.
