Small Dutch Burr Walnut Chest of Drawers
A Small Dutch Burr Walnut Chest of Drawers, Circa 1900.
This lovely chest of drawers has a complex serpentine outline with an overhanging top with fabulous shape, having a fine moulded edge. The top is veneered in exceptional bookmatched burr walnut, creating a beautiful mirrored pattern. The drawer fronts use similarly beautiful timber. The sides of the chest use a more straight grained walnut for contrast. The bottom moulding above the feet mirrors the shape of the top. There are three graduated drawers with their original engraved brass hardware.
