This is an antique adjustable fire curb. An English, ornate brass hearth fender in Great Exhibition taste, dating to the early Victorian period, circa 1850.
Presents a wondrous level or ornamentation to enhance a grand fireplace
Displays a desirable aged patina and in good antique order throughout
Polished brass presents excellent golden tonality with minimal tarnishing
Set in three pieces, with the outer urns adjusting to extend or narrow the width
