This is an antique turner’s chair. An English, oak Old Saxon elbow seat, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.

A fascinating example in the John Starkey Warwick style, offering superb form, characterful stocks and sculptural appeal.

Select oak stocks present fine grain interest with deep caramel hues
Distinctive in the manner of the ‘Old Saxon’ chair, rich with historical influence
