This is a vintage Baluchi rug. A Persian, hand-woven decorative hall or lounge carpet, dating to the late 20th century, circa 1980.

Of useful size for the doorway or beneath the coffee table at 90cm x 151cm (35.5" x 59.5")
Displays a desirable aged patina with light sun fading and wear under close inspection
Predominantly in bright crimson and accentuated with cream, orange and dark blue hues
The soft pile offering a comfortable feel underfoot

Two grand buildings stand either side of decorative motif
Thick tramline borders with chased Mir-i-Bota pattern in the form of a broad leaf
