This is a vintage decorative Baluchi rug. A Middle Eastern, hand-woven hall or lounge carpet, dating to the early 20th century, circa 1930.

Of useful size for the doorway or beneath the coffee table at 93cm x 155.5cm (36.5" x 61.25")
Displays a desirable aged patina - delightfully sun faded with minimal wear
Deep navy blue ground accentuated with warm ruby red detail
The soft pile offering a comfortable feel underfoot

Six oblong panels with triangle and foliate detail, with smaller medallions to background
Thick geometric border patterns with chased checkerboard pattern to each side
Dressed with bands of short, loose tassels to either end
