Rare 19th Century Irish famine chair. Beautifully constructed from ash with a lovely washed out colour. The chair is very robust and with a wide seat incredibly comfortable to sit in. An Irish famine chair is a type of Vernacular chair made during the great famine in Ireland (1845-1852).
