Item Description
A superb pair of Victorian oak library armchairs, recently restored and upholstered to an exceptional standard. These late 19th-century chairs are crafted from solid oak and display the refined proportions and intricate detailing characteristic of the period. The new thick quality leather is hand-dyed in a rich, warm brown and features traditional deep buttoning across the backrests, lending both elegance and comfort.
The leather is finished with a hand-applied brass studded trim that highlights the sweeping lines of the arms and seat. The generously padded armrests are supported by turned oak columns, echoing the classical influence of the design. The front legs are beautifully carved in the traditional Victorian manner and terminate in solid brass castors for ease of movement, while the rear legs remain straight and sturdy.
These chairs combine period authenticity with contemporary comfort and would make a distinguished addition to any library, study, or drawing room. Offered in excellent condition, structurally sound and ready for immediate use.
