Item Description
An early 20th century carved wood pigeon decoy, produced for George G. Bussey Co. The Bussey company was one of London's premier sporting goods dealers founded around 1860, and remaining in business until the late 1940's. The pigeon decoys they retailed varied slightly in style over the years, but they always maintained their own distinctive colour palette.
This example is in very good condition, retaining the majority of its original paintwork beak, and glass eyes. There is a historic wood chip to the tail.
