Item Description
Fabulous Edwardian oak metamorphic rise & fall drinks cabinet bar by Eveleigh Bishop, Leeds. Bramah lock. Circa 1900.
Made in solid oak throughout, the cabinet is of square form and stands on tapering legs with castors, united by a galleried central platform.
When the lid is opened, the glassware inside are elevated to table-top height. The solid brass hinged mechanism is in very good working order.
The cabinet has been sympathetically re-finished by hand and has a smooth waxed finish, still retaining light authentic marks to highlight its genuine heritage.
There has been a historic professional repair to the back leg. This is very solid and will cause no problem. Please refer to the photographs.
The key now works the Bramah lock on one side of the lid only. But due to the way the lid has been designed, the side that does not lock is not able to be opened when the cabinet is locked.
Glassware not included. Ready to add your own beautiful collection.
Can hold glasses up to 18.5cm high. 112cm wide extended. There has been some shrinkage to the insides of the decanter holders as shown.
Delivery included to mainland England, Wales and southern Scotland.
