Wonderful Large 1970’s Pottery Fish Panel by Oxshott Pottery – Dated & Info

A large unique handmade pottery fish plaque panel by the well know Oxshott Pottery in 1974. In excellent condition with no damage, on the reverse is an interesting paper exhibition label. The Oxshott Pottery was one of the first studio potteries formed in England, started by Denise and Henry Wren, then later their daughter Rosemary too, this piece is by Rosemary. Her pieces are held in the V&A Museum London. Denise, her Mother, learnt under the famous Archibald Knox. Known as the The Wrens of Oxshott, this is a stylised large pottery panel featuring fish with pattens and glazed colours. Mounted in original painted wooden frame.
