Item Description
Antique French gilt reeded mirror, circa 1850. Where this mirror has been dusted for more than 150 years, the gilding has thinned in places revealing the terracotta bole and cream gesso beneath, giving the mirror an attractive patina. The original glass has just a little age and gives an excellent reflection. This very contemporary-looking mirror would work well as an overmantel in both a traditional or modern setting.
