Item Description
Antique French mirror, circa 1840, with silverleafed rippled frame. Where this mirror has been dusted for almost two hundred years, the silverleaf has thinned along the inside edge revealing the cream gesso and hints of terracotta bole beneath. The original mercury glass has some age but sparkles where it catches the light and gives a good reflection. This mirror can be hung portrait (as photographed) or landscape.
