Item Description
This cushion is made from a vintage Banjara bag that has been opened out. The bag is made from several layers of recycled cotton fabric that are quilted together with thick cotton stitches. The top layer of cotton is a Balotra block print in a faded indigo and madder red. The quilting stitches are an even herringbone pattern that is traditional in this type of textile. I've backed the cushion with another vintage textile which is a hand loomed red and blue stripe from East China which works beautifully. I've added hand dyed tassels in madder red and there is a zip fastener and deluxe feather pad.
