Item Description
These little pillows are made from a vintage quilt by the Sami ethnic group, from Northern India. The quilt is formed from several layers of cotton quilted together in tiny stitches 2 or 3 mm long. The top layer of the quilt is lovey block print in raspberry and blackcurrant colours. Not to be confused with the ubiquitous kantha quilts made from recycled saris. I've backed the cushions with a vintage handloomed textile in a blue and raspberry plaid and there are little pom poms at the corners. The pillows are stuffed full of Provencal lavender selected for its long lasting scent.
