Large oil painting by Knut Dahlander c 1930
Knut Dahlander ( 1883-1933 ) trained as an artist in Copenhagen and Sweden and travelled in Italy returning to paint in his native Sweden in the 1920’s until his early death in 1933.
We buy and sell some artwork based on what we find attractive and we think is good value, so we look at the work first and the signature second! We fell in love with the peaceful composition of small boats in a harbour on a sunny day. It’s a good size so has plenty of impact.
Oil on canvas fully signed.
