Late 1950’s Swedish candleholder designed by Gunnar Ander for Ystad Metall
We bought this stylish brass candleholder with it’s original purple glass shade in Sweden about 20 years ago, and have just re-found it ! We bought it because it was lovely quality and a lovely design, but have now found that it is a known design by Gunnar Ander ( 1908-76 ). He was an architect as well as a prolific designer of candlesticks for Ystad Metall. An expensive piece back in the day they don’t come up for sale very often.
Condition
Brass in lovely condition as is the glass. The cane to the handle is in good vintage condition.
